The Wedding Date
by Jasmine Guillory

When I first picked up The Wedding Date, I immediately thought of the rom-com with the same name, starring Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney. Boy, was I glad I decided to read it. Drew Nichols and Alexa Monroe find themselves stuck in an elevator in a San Francisco hotel. Dateless on the eve of his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, Drew convinces Alexa to go as his date. Drew, a guy who doesn’t do relationships, and Alex, filled with doubts and overthinking, actually really hit it off and this fake relationship quickly becomes a real one with weekend trips to see each other. With a meet-cute, a charming cast of characters, and an unmistakable whirlwind romance, The Wedding Date is a rom-com must-read!

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake
by Amy E. Reichert

Lou’s dream comes true when she has her own little French restaurant in downtown Milwaukee. Trying to surprise her fiancé on his birthday, she walks in on him cheating on her with an intern. With her world turning upside down, she can barely cook anything—and to make matters worse, the new snarky food critic is there! Drowning in her sorrows, she meets a handsome man (Ah! It’s the food critic), but neither know who the other is. She ends up showing him around Milwaukee, and love is in the air! I’m dying to know what happens when she realizes he’s the food critic and she’s the owner of the restaurant that made his column popular.

Just One Day
by Gayle Forman

Sometimes a whirlwind romance is just that: a whirlwind. While on a trip to Europe, Allyson Healey meets Willem, and they share an instant and undeniable spark. He invites her to spend the day in Paris and, taking an uncharacteristic risk, Allyson agrees. They share a magical, romantic, and unforgettable day of adventure together until Allyson wakes up the next morning to see that Willem is gone. What’s left is the aftermath and the journey to self-discovery.

by Leslie Cohen

Eve and Ben’s story may span over several years, but their romance is definitely a whirlwind. They’re complete opposites—Eve is quirky and emotional while Ben is down-to-earth and practical. They meet in college and run in the same circle of friends, but they barely notice each other until one day they find a spark they never expected. From a one-night stand (at least that’s what Eve thought), they find themselves with a deep yet fragile connection that will change the course of their lives, forever. This Love Story Will Self-Destruct is a timeless tale reimagined with a millennial twist!
