Love her or hate her, Joan Rivers was a force of nature. NO ONE on late-night TV is funnier than she was, and no one enjoyed themselves more. Between playing Vegas, dishing on Fashion Police, doing stand-up at the Laurie Beechman Theatre and filming one of the best documentaries in recent memory, she found time to write quite a few books. Her older titles are out of print or hard to find, but we expect that to change given the recent high interest in her backlist titles. We’ve listed our recent favorites for you here, in no particular order. Ms. Rivers, wherever you are: we wish you’d had more time, and thank you so much for the laughter.

Murder at the Academy Awards
by Joan Rivers and Jerrilyn Farmer

Rivers and Farmer created a snarky, funny murder mystery about Maxine Taylor, a red-carpet interviewer who witnesses the sudden death of a young Oscar nominee on the big night. She goes undercover at a rehab center to learn more about the young actor's past and to uncover the killer.

I Hate Everyone...Starting with Me
by Joan Rivers

The title pretty much sums it up. Ms. Rivers lays waste to everyone and everything in her path on the pop culture landscape. Just imagine her voice reading this aloud. It's really vulgar, be warned, but if that's OK with you...you're in for one of the funniest reads of your life.

Diary of a Mad Diva
by Joan Rivers

This is Ms. Rivers' most recent title, published barely 2 months before she passed away. Her daughter, Melissa, gave her a diary to fill. And Ms. Rivers does what she does best, day by day. She's doing her best raunchy shtick here, so tread lightly if you're the sensitive type.
